Snow Leopard Now Available for Pre-order
Apple’s next major release of their Mac OS X operating system is now available for pre-order at Amazon. This is the 7th major release of OS X and is dubbed Snow Leopard.
Snow Leopard comes with a re-written finder which takes the power of 64-bit computing to the limit. Also Snow Leopard’s footprint is down to 6GB compared to its predecessors which has 11GB of footprint. A lot of HDD space saved.
Snow Leopard’s prices are set to the following:
- $29 for Upgrade Pack
- $49 for Family Pack (Up to 5 users)
- $499 for Server
It’s really cheap for those who have Mac OS X 10.5.7 Leopard. There is still no definite date as to when the new Mac operating system will come out but there’s a lot of speculations and rumors that it’s going to hit the shelves in September of this year which is a month from now.
I am hoping the prices will be the same when it hits the Philippine market like it always does in the previous releases. Mac users are all excited with this new release as Apple claims it’s packed with improved features and whole OS itself has been reinvented.
So let’s wait till we get our hands on this new release.
